Practicing prevention and health maintenance is the BEST way to keep our children and school environment as healthy as possible!

Injuries or Illness at School
We attend to your child's minor physical needs while they are at school. If, however, an injury requires special attention, or if your child is ill, we will call you at the number indicated on his or her clinic card. If we feel the child may be contagious, we will ask that you check them out of school.

Clinic Cards
For the safety of your child, the school maintains emergency information. This information includes your name, address, phone numbers (home, work, and cell) and the name and phone number of a relative or neighbor to be contacted in case of illness or emergency. Any change in information must be reported to the office.
It's a good idea to check your child's clinic card periodically to make sure the information (especially phone numbers) is current, accurate and legible.

Medication
Atlanta School Board policy prohibits the administration of medication to students by employees without authorization. If your child must take any medication at school – including over the counter medications like Tylenol or Benadryl - you and your child's doctor must complete and sign Form 67071. You can get this form from the office.

Allergies
If your child has a life-threatening allergy or other serious medical condition, please notify the classroom teachers, school nurse, and Mrs. Wilson in writing as soon as possible.
